Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is a universal language of movement celebrating the highest quality of the human experience resulting in performance, individual expression, healing and peace. We are dedicated to providing cross cultural dance art experiences, rooted in African-American traditions, for audiences, artists and students worldwide. The Ensemble has participated in major festivals and tours including the Second World Festival of Arts and Culture (Nigeria 1977), a United States Information Agency sponsored tour of Eastern Europe (1993), Jacob's Pillow (1994), an award winning Denver Sister Cities Cultural Exchange with Nairobi, Kenya (1996), XVI Festival Internazionale (Italy 1998), New York City's Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors Festival (1991, 1994 & 1998), the American Dance Festival (1990, 1994, 1995 & 1998), the New York/New Jersey Dance Women/Living Legends Tour (1997), Kennedy Center's American Dancing (1998), the Gomhouria Theatre of the Cairo Opera House (Egypt 1999), the Suzan Dalal Center-Tel Aviv and Sherover Hall-Jerusalem (Israel, 2000).

Rakaba West African Ballet captures and delivers the spirit of dance styles of the West African Diaspora. The company's repertoire consists of original choreography based on the folkloric techniques of the great kingdoms of Mali, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, and more. The ensemble has worked with such renowned artists as Suquan Diop, Artistic Director of the Kairaba West African Dance Company, Aisha Rivers, former principal dancer and director of Ayoluwa African Dance Theatre, Mouminatou Camara, Principal dancer of Les Ballet Africans, and many more...
